Meri Dishnica, an Albanian director and screenwriter with a background in psychology, has been exploring the intersection of image and sound, movement and space since 2019 to bring her ideas to life on screen. Drawing on her experience as a former therapist with insight into the depths of the human mind, she has cultivated a unique artistic perspective, complemented by her self-taught screenwriting skills. Her body of work, encompassing video art, cinematic poems, and experimental films, has garnered recognition at several independent film festivals. By 2020, she had also embarked on a career as a freelance writer and script reader. In 2023, Dishnica wrote and directed her debut short film, “BUBBLES,” which has notably received the Best First-Time Filmmaker Short award at the Giove International Film Festival in 2024 and the Best Short Drama Gold at the Cittador International Film Festival in 2023.
